The San Francisco Department of Public Health is undertaking an HIA to provide information on the planning of a public housing redevelopment. The effort is part of an initiative to link housing and public health goals in the San Francisco area. Other similar HIAs underway—addressing redevelopment of Potrero and Westside Courts public housing sites—will focus on issues such as housing affordability and access to transit and jobs.
