This HIA aimed to evaluate the potential public health implications of the project and provide evidence-based recommendations to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MNDNR) and the City of Duluth to address health disparities and improve the impact of the habitat restoration and park improvement projects on health and well-being. The restoration work is part of an effort to address historical industrial and municipal wastewater discharges, contamination, and habitat losses affecting the St. Louis River ecosystem.
